02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Cameron House Circle of Friends exists to assist the residents of Cameron House in having a full quality of life. We do this by arranging entertainment for the residents by bringing musicians, singers, dancers and the those residents who are able participate in dancing to music. the residents greatly appreciate these evets. We also provide donations to local groups who take the residents on outings in the local area. A contribution to residents Christmas presents is made. In conjunction with the care home we will fund additional items of equipment and aids that benefit the residents. We continue to fund the maintenance and purchase of new plants and shrubs for the rear garden at the home which was refurbished a number of years ago following specific fundraising by the group. The garden is safe and secure and the residents get great pleasure from it . We work closely with the management and activities co-ordinator at the home to provide the most appropriate help we can.
