What the charity exists to do

Kingsway Community Connections is a community anchor organisation working alongside local people to improve health and wellbeing, strengthen connection and participation, and reduce the impact of poverty and inequality. We create welcoming spaces, trusted relationships and opportunities for people to take part in community life, access practical support and make informed choices about the things affecting their lives. Our work includes community development, health and wellbeing activities, welfare advice, learning opportunities, family support, community groups and events. Our approach is shaped by the strengths, experiences and priorities of local people. We also work closely with voluntary and statutory partners where working together can provide better support and opportunities for our community.

The company's objects are: 'to enable the residents of Kingsway Court and surrounding area who experience disadvantage, inequity and poor health, to proactively participate in the delivery of the changes necessary to improve their health and wellbeing, by developing and delivering services, activities and events through strong and active partnerships with statutory and voluntary agencies in pursuit of equal opportunity, personal growth and a stable, secure and vibrant community. '
