02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Home-Start East Lothian is a local community organisation of trained volunteers and family support workers expertly supporting families with young children through their challenging times. We are committed to promoting the welfare of families with at least one child under 5yrs, we support families referred to us with issues, which could include poor mental health, isolation, problems coping with parenting, post-natal depression, housing conditions, poverty or domestic abuse. We support families in their homes, to get out in their community and at our local groups.
