02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To provide an environment for people from a diverse age, gender and social backgrounds to meet up and play music multiple times a week. Also to provide music at community events throughout the year. Done so by rehearsing twice a week and by engaging with community leaders to ensure that we are booked at various events including but not limited to: gala days, remembrance services, and Christmas carolling services.

Constitutional objectives
The Aims of the Band shall be to advance the education of the public of Midlothian in the art of music, and in particular Brass Band music by the presentation of public performances and other related activities.
