02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
As part of the Church of Scotland Auchterderran Kinglassie Church exists to glorify God and to work for the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom throughout the world. As part of a national church it acknowledges a distinctive call and duty to bring the ordinances of religion to people in the parish. It co-operates with other Christian churches in various ecumenical bodies in Scotland and beyond. In furtherance of this the church holds regular services both of a traditional nature and a monthly “Café Church” in the church hall. It offers regular bible study sessions and prayer meetings, whilst also hosting a weekly “Drop-In” offering a free light lunch and welfare support / advice.
