What the charity exists to do
The objectives of the charity are to encourage a more active nation, create healthier communities, and empower fitter athletes of all abilities by offering a range of services tailored to individual needs. Constitutional objectives
(1) To promote and undertake the treatment, prevention and relief of injuries and other medical problems arising from individuals participating in sporting, recreational and other leisure time activities including in particular, without prejudice to the foregoing generality, the sport of association football. (2) To advance education for the public benefit in relation to sports medicine, and in particular the prevention and treatment of sports injuries and other medical problems arising from participation in sport. (3) To conduct research into the causation and treatment of such medical problems arising from such activities and into the scientific and psychological aspects of athletic and sporting achievement and to publish the useful results of such research.
