What the charity exists to do

The charity is set up to provide Islamic religious guidance and to support the community through various services, including Qur’an classes and programmes. We do this by arranging daily classes on weekdays, as well as organising programmes on weekends and at other times throughout the year.

Constitutional objectives

The Objects of the Islamic Academy of Scotland is to advance the Islamic religion and in furtherance of: - A) To advance the Islamic religion and in furtherance for the proper recitation of Quran and AllHadith and their meanings. B) Establishment of supplementary classes and primary educational centres (Madras's) in areas lacking these facilities. C) The issue of a monthly magazine and periodicals containing articles on all subjects of Islamic interests, thought and culture. D) To provide Islamic lectures of Scholars in various languages. E) Establishment of an Islamic library containing books in various languages. F) To provide facilities for Salah in places where there is no such provision by building a mosque or leasing property. G) To provide services relating to marriages and divorces, deaths, birth of a child and other Islamic principle. H) The translation of authentic Islamic works into English
