EARS provides independent advocacy to service users across a number of regions.

Constitutional objectives
The objects and purposes of the organisation, established for charitable purposes only. The over-riding purpose of the charity is to enable and undertake. the advancement of health, human rights and education, the promotion of equality and diversity and the relief of need due to old age, ill-health, disability or other disadvantage (as set out in the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and in particular under sections b, d, j, I, and n). By: 4.1 the relieve of the needs of vulnerable people (those benefitting from the SCIO) in Scotland (the area of benefit) - being the support and representation of independent advocacy provision by- 4.1.i. providing opportunities and forums for them to have their wishes, choices and needs, expressed, listened to and acted upon. 4.1. ii. providing them with impartial and independent information and support to assist them through the systems and processes of government and non-governmental agencies and providers of goods and services, which may otherwise discriminate against them. 4.2 to promote independent advocacy and advance the education and knowledge of people who would benefit from using, or referring people to, independent advocacy
