02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up for the advancement and development of young girls aged between 7 and 10 years, in accordance with the policies of Girlguiding UK. We follow the programme for Brownies which includes challenges, activities to build skills, interest badges and unit meeting activities. We follow the principles set in our Promise to serve our community and the king, to help other people and to be true to ourselves and develop our beliefs. This is all led by volunteers at a local level. Girls are encouraged to push and stretch themselves, develop confidence and an understanding of the world around them.
