02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Front Lounge works to address disadvantage and inequality. Our mission is to empower people to achieve better, brighter futures by building their confidence, skills, experience, and networks. We exist to empower disadvantaged people to be more engaged, motivated and resilient. to gain better access to services. to attain more through education. and to improve their life chances and create a better future for themselves. We do this through running a number of profiled programmes (Kindred Clothing, Adventures of the Little People, iGNiTE, EVOLUTION) with key target audiences (young parents, those from care experienced backgrounds, those with mental health challenges and issues, and those that live in the most impoverished postcodes). Working with a wide range of partners this work is underpinned by 1-2-1's, small group work, skills transfer and education programmes, homevisiting, and crisis intervention.
