02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Andarroch Trust was set up as a small family charity in 2001. Andarroch was the name of the family home in Aberdeen of the principal trustee. It exists in order to give donations to a number of mostly Christian faith-related organisations, which include a UK church, overseas mission and Christians serving overseas. Donations are also given for the alleviation of poverty and suffering, guided by the humanitarian principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence. The majority of donations are made by regular standing order and direct debit, although each year of a number of donations are made to a range of causes and individuals as described.
