02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
1st Crieff Guides is a volunteer-led charity that helps girls aged 10–14 build confidence, resilience, leadership skills and lifelong friendships through fun, challenging and inclusive experiences. We provide a safe, welcoming environment where every girl can develop new skills, try activities they might not otherwise have access to and grow in confidence at their own pace. Our weekly meetings, camps, outdoor adventures, community projects and residential trips encourage girls to work as a team, develop independence and make a positive contribution to their local community. We believe every girl should have the opportunity to discover her potential, regardless of her background or financial circumstances, and we work hard to keep Guiding accessible through fundraising, grants and the dedication of our volunteer leaders.
