02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our rainbow unit provides girls aged 4-7 with a safe, friendly and inclusive environment where the ca have fun, make friends and develop confidence and new skills. We follow the Girlguiding programme and use activities from the Rainbow badge book, giving the girls opportunities to learn, explore and try new things through crafts, games, challenges and other activities. Our weekly meetings are planned and delivered by our volunteer leaders, with activities adapted to suit the age and abilities of the girls. Through our programme, we encourage the girls to work together, build friendships, develop independence and confidence, and enjoy new experiences all while making sure we follow the Girlguiding values.
