02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To advance the education of the general public, and in particular the local community, about the heritage of the village of Gartmore and furtherance thereof:- Carry such research as is necessary. To collect all data available by the means of maps, documents, photographs, statistical documents, written and spoken word and other such material as may become available. Create and maintain a database to allow for the production of educational information which shall be made publicly available. Purchase services and equipment for the fulfilment of the above object: and operate without distinction of political orientation, religion, race, gender or other opinions. Research - desk and in-field Academic interactions with Research fellows / Archives / Publishing / Universities. Support to the community led Charterhouse Project (Perth) - seeking the tomb of James I of Scotland. Historical Dissemination Public Talks (6 per year) Fund Raising Events Education Genealogy Public lectures
