02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

HSGNNL is a charity supporting families with at least one child under the age of 5 who are struggling with the challenges of everyday life. We offer home-visiting support by trained volunteers and family groups. HSGNNL is also a part of the Families Here and Now Service in North Lanarkshire (in partnership with Barnardo's, Action for Children and Impact Arts). This is a universal service for families with children aged 0-18 (26 if care experienced) and does not include families who are working with Social Work. The service also offers groups.

The objects of the Charity are: a) to safeguard, protect and preserve the good health, both mental and physical, of children and parents of children. b) to prevent cruelty to, or maltreatment of, children. c) to relieve sickness, poverty and need amongst children and parents of children. d) to promote the education of the public in better standards of child care within the areas of North Glasgow, North Lanarkshire and any other applicable neighbouring areas (‘the Objects’).
