02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our mission is to celebrate the contribution to music of Jane and Francis Cowan by continuing their work in spreading and encouraging the joy of string playing in a wide variety of locations.

Constitutional objectives
The objects of. the association shall be to promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the public, particularly by the encouragement of the art of music in general, and in furtherance thereof: (a) to promote the study, practice and development of music in the spirit of Pablo' Casals and Jane Cowan (b) to provide opportunities for high quality performances, tuition, lectures, and discussions in an unique and friendly environment~ and (c) to do all things necessary or conducive to the furtherance of the foregoing objects as the members shall from time to time determine.
