02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Dunaverty Village Hall is set up to provide a facility to be used by the Community/Parish of Southend PA28 and the members of that Community and other organisations outwith the Community that may wish to hire the Hall for a purpose that will benefit the Community. This is achieved by a dedicated Committee and volunteers from within the Community.

  • the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended
  • any other purpose that may reasonably be regarded as analogous to any of the preceding purposes

Constitutional objectives

The objects of Dunaverty Village Hall shall be to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Community and Parish of Southend and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious, disablity or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of Social Welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their condidtions of life may be improved
