The advancement of education of the public in agriculture by the promotion of agricultural enterprise and improvements in breeding, rearing, husbandry and health of livestock, the improvement of agricultural produce and the encouragement of skills in the management of arable land, hill land, grasslands or any other type of land and other rural affairs particularly by the holding of an annual agricultural show (known as The Sutherland Agricultural Show), local and open competitions and other such activities.
