02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Caithness Countryside Volunteers, CEV, are set up to undertake projects that improve the the success and biodiversity of target species and to undertake events to improve public access and appreciation of their environment. The CEV also works with other local groups providing advice and volunteers to support their activities. Events are usually monthly and last a few hours.

Constitutional objectives

2. The association’s objects are: a) To know about, promote and improve the biological diversity of Caithness b) To assist The Highland Environmental Forum and other appropriate bodies with upkeep, revision and implementation of the Caithness Biodiversity Action Plan c) To promote and undertake environmental projects throughout Caithness to improve public access to the countryside, enhance wildlife habitats and upgrade countryside facilities
