02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
• The work of IREF(India) was supported from the UK through the sponsorship of 37 Repalle-based children, 29 CDC children, 4 student nurses, 10 village workers and 6 teachers, plus various other designated and undesignated donations. • Three remittances of funds were made to IREF(India) during 2025 via our sister organisation IREF(USA). a fourth quarterly remittance was not possible due to some technical issues with IREF(India)’s bank account which we hope will be resolved soon. • A Medical Team from the UK travelled to India in January 2025, for which substantial funds were raised. • Our supporters were kept well informed of the activities of IREF(India) through quarterly newsletters and through a regularly updated IREF Facebook page. • The trustees met twice during the year (via Zoom) and kept in touch in between via emails. • IREF(UK) continues to work closely with our sister organisation, IREF(USA), exchanging information on a regular basis. • A Safeguarding policy was drawn
