What the charity exists to do
The Scout Group exists to support the development of young people through educational, recreational, and community activities that provide clear public benefit. The Group advances education by helping members develop practical life skills, leadership, teamwork, confidence, and personal responsibility through structured programmes and outdoor experiences. It advances health by encouraging physical activity, emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive social interaction in a safe and supportive environment. The Group also advances citizenship and community development by promoting volunteering, service, inclusion, respect, and active participation in local community life. Through outdoor activities and conservation projects, the Group advances environmental protection and improvement by fostering respect for nature and sustainable practices. The Group also supports wider charitable purposes analogous to these aims through the personal and social development of young people.
