Constitutional objectives

The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income thereof for such charitable purposes (in the sense in which that expression is used in the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988) as they in their uncontrolled discretion shall from time to time think fit, including without prejudice to the foregoing generality and without restricting the Trustees in any way in the exercise of their discretionary powers but by way of a guide to the Trustees for the provision of awards, bursaries, grants and prizes to participants at the Glasgow Music Festival including awards to enable participants to attend and perform at said Festival, for the purchase of equipment, instruments, music and other items for use at said Festival and for loan to or as a prize for participants at said Festival or for loan to or use by other musical or dramatic organisations, individuals, or commercial or private companies in Scotland or elsewhere. for the provision of prizes or grants to selected deserving participants of merit at said Festival to enable them to further pursue their educational studies, to foster, encourage and facilitate performances in any of the performing arts at the Glasgow Music Festival and throughout Scotland and elsewhere and generally to provide financial support of any kind to the Glasgow Music Festival to enable its continuance and growth
