What the charity exists to do
Taigh Dhonnchaidh is a music and arts centre in Ness in the Isle of Lewis, which opened in 2001. The primary aim of the centre is to provide a space for the community to use for the tuition of music, art and dance and classes are run throughout the year for both children and adults, including piping, highland dancing, fiddle, drumming, Gaelic singing, and art. There are currently up to 34 attendees at classes on a weekly basis. In addition, Taigh Dhonnchaidh organises other events, such as ceilidhs and band performances within the community, mainly in collaboration with the Ness FC Social Club.
