What the charity exists to do

Provides grants and payments to visting medics to attend the BCCA conference, supports the Medical Foundation year students at St Andrews University and sponsors the Aspire Powerchair club

Constitutional objectives

The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income of it to pay and apply the same to or for the benefit of or in . furtherance of such purposes, objects or institutions charitable in law ('the Charitable Purposes') in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall think fit and to the extent the same is charitable in law, the Trust Fund shall be applied for the purposes of advancing medical education by making financial provision in relation to medical education and in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing: (a) the promotion of study of the health of the general public. (b) the creation, maintenance and funding of grants, bursaries, scholarships, prizes and rewards. for individuals, groups and institutions studying and researching medicine to increase their knowledge and for education and research purposes generally. and (c) the provision of financial assistance in connection with medical education for those who could not otherwise afford such education and provided it is in addition to education provided as part of the requirement of the statutory authorities for doctors, students of medicine, and all others who may be involved in the treatment and care of individuals who are suffering from any form of illness, ailment or disability.
