Constitutional objectives
To relieve suffering, hardship and distress and to promote health and education among and to promote civic responsibility, volunteering and the effectiveness and efficiency of the voluntary sector towards:- a. Men or women who have at any time served (for at least one day) with any branch of the naval, military and air forces of the Crown or its allies, regular or reserve. b. Men or women who have at any time served (for at least one day) with the Merchant Navy or the civilian Nursing Services who have been involved in active service. c. All those who are entitled to wear, under rules promulgated from time to time by the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces Veterans Badge. d. All those who at any time during the period 1939 to 1945 served in voluntary or conscripted national organisations, to include Land Girls, Bevan Boys, Lumberjacks and Lumberjills.
