02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Lynton Day Centre was established as a Day Care Centre for the elderly in the community and wider area of East Linton. We are open Monday to Friday and provide a safe friendly environment for our Client members. We provide activities and person centred outcomes for each of our Clients. We provide a hot 3 course lunch daily cooked in our own kitchen from local ingredients to suit the dietary needs of each member.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are to promote the welfare and relieve the isolation of older people by: 4.1 promoting and running services for older people 4.2 making representations on behalf of those attending lOC 4.3 providing information to, for and on behalf of older people 4.4 encouraging and providing training for those associated with lOC 4.5 bringing together representatives of statutory bodies, voluntary organisations and individuals with an interest in the welfare of older people 4.6 to do all other such things as are charitable in law for the attainment of these objects, as the Management Committee
