02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to promote brass band music by providing free tuition and the free use of instruments to people of all ages and backgrounds, to develop a senior band and a youth band to give public performances for the benefit of the community at it's own concerts and at various community events, and to represent the town of Hawick in brass band contests. The activities of the band also encourage social inclusion, confidence building, fellowship, friendship and community involvement.

Constitutional objectives
