02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity is set up to provide a framework for Scotland to enhance career and life opportunities for young people and meet the employment needs to businesses across rural Scotland, through the delivery of a progressive engaging pathway into employment across rural Scotland working in partnership with teachers, employers and related agencies.

Constitutional objectives
Promoting and undertaking research into and study of rural and countryside 'resources with associated habitat, flora and fauna and for those interested in working in rural or countryside areas in Scotland and for the benefit of all persons interested in such resources, associated habitats and flora and fauna and for those interested in working in rural or countryside areas. 2. Advancing the education of all persons interested in such resources, associated habitats and flora and fauna and of those interested in working in rural or countryside areas by raising their awareness and understanding of the importance of such resources, habitats, their conservation and sustainable development. and 3. Such other purposes as are recognised by law to be exclusively charitable within the meaning of Section 505 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 or any Act amending or replacing the same and which relate to such resources, habitat, flora and fauna, environmental conservation and the education and science thereof as the Trustees may from time to time in their sole discretion select and that without prejudice to the foregoing generality and without in any way fettering their said discretion.
