02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to manage and maintain the village community hall. The hall can be hired by village groups and individuals as well as outside agencies. Charges are set at an appropriate rate with special rates for non-profit groups. We undertake fundraising events to supplement income received from hire charges.

Constitutional objectives
Subject to the said over-riding qualification the objects for which the Company is established are to promote the benefits of the inhabitants of Symington, Ayrshire and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities, or assist in the provision of facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved by the provision, maintenance, repair and restoration of a community hall.
