02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
1st Banff Brownies is part of a worldwide Girl-guiding Charity organisation. in our unit we promote the health and well-being of girls aged 7 to 10 years . We create fun activities and adventures that encourages girls to further develop their individual self esteem , skills and community spirit. We undertake activities such as beach cleaning , Remembrance Parade , supporting other causes and learning about the World around us through kindness and good deeds. Girls make a personal promise to do their best, to be true to themselves, develop their beliefs, serve the King and the community, help others and keep the Brownie Guide Law. We are providing a place for girls to develop skills, have fun , earn badges by undertaking learning and activities. Creating a welcoming inclusive environment where girls can socialise in a safe environment , trained volunteers support and adapt activities for each individuals needs, alongside parents we promote the rights of each member..
