02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity is set up to provide high quality Early Learning and Care in an environment that is safe and secure. All staff are qualified to the required level for their post and carry out ongoing training to enhance their knowledge, satisfying the Scottish Social Services Council's guidelines for Continuous Professional Development. Our setting and staff are continually measured against the Care Inspectorate Quality Assurance Indicators and we are regularly visited by Fife Council development officers and a peripatetic teacher. Our Early Years Practitioners and Manager work together with parents/carers to ensure that every child has the oppoertunity to further their learning in a way that is appropriate for their age and stage of development. When necessary we work with external agencies (Speech+Language, Social Work, Educational Psychology, Health Vistors) to support children who require additional input to thier learning and development.
