02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We were set up to advance the education of the public in the art of Drama. However, these days it goes far beyond this. We try to adopt an attitude which is more aware of the issues which beset the modern everyday life. We now adapt, and adopt, policies which are beneficial to our expanding youth group. So much is geared toward mental health issues and personal home issues that we have to keep up with new laws and strategies which are now in place which weren't years ago. It is a steep learning curve for the adults in the Club too. We all try to come together with large productions but a lot of the time the adults and youth follow their own paths with individual plays. The youth learn a lot and we have seen them become more self-confident as they take part in productions and learn to express themselves.
