02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

We work to assist all Kirkmabreck Community residents achieve better lifestyles, especially in Youth and Elderly Groups where we have projects running to ensure they have support and plenty of activities to help keep them stimulated, occupied and not lonely, especially living in such a rural location. We also provide Village Hall facilities to cater for regular users and are always here to help anyone who needs assistance, even just for a chat. We try to be the local hub for those who need us most.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 The advancement of community development (including the advancement of rural regeneration), primarily within the parish of Kirkmabreck (the 'Community'). 4.2 The advancement of environmental protection and improvement, primarily within the Community. and 4.3 The provision of recreational facilities, and the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents of the Community and also the wider area of Dumfries and Galloway through, in particular but not limited to, the running of youth clubs.
