02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Charity is an independent church set up for the advancement of the Christian religion, serving all of Kilwinning and the surrounding areas. Donations are provided to other religious charities in any given year and the church has a Minister through its partnership with 20schemes. The Church is also affiliated to the FIEC but is not a parent or subsidiary in any of its links. The partnership involves the use of the church by 20schemes in exchange for training and a Minister being provided over a 3 year period which has just been extended for the next 3 years. The church has a weekly Sunday service, Thursday prayer, Men and Women's outreach groups and bible meeting along with outreach meetings at the Church and at other Kilwinning locations, such as Cranberry Moss Community Centre in Pennyburn. The congregation is small and was financially making a small surplus most years. However, the overall church balance reduced, as 3 smaller roof sections were replaced during 2025.
