Constitutional objectives

The Organisation's main purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Organisation's Purposes are: 5.1 To provide or advance the accessibility of recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and the public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community. 5.2 To promote for the public benefit rural or urban regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation within the Community by the relief of poverty in such ways as may be thought fit including the provision of housing for those who are in conditions of need and the improvement of housing in the public sector or in charitable ownership provided that such power shall not extend to relieving any local authorities or other bodies of a statutory duty to provide or improve housing. 5.3 To advance educational opportunities in the Community relating to environment, culture, heritage and/or history. 5.4 To advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community, and/or the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic, or other importance to the Community. 5.5 To promote, establish, operate and/or support other projects and initiatives of a similar charitable nature for the benefit of the Community
