02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

TDT promotes activities and projects which support the social, amentiy and environmental infrastructure of Thornhill. TDT does this in order to help sustain our community as a happy, healthy, viable place to live. Alongside TDT initiatives, TDT works in partnership with non-constituted village groups and clubs, enabling their activities by providing banking, financial governance, insurance, grant application policy and compliance advice, and seed funding. TDT's constitution allows it to own land and buildings and employ people should that be required, though does not currently exercise these powers. TDT administers the Thornhill Environment Fund, the objective of which is to promote environmantal awareness and education for residents.
