02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Community House is based in the heart of the community which it serves. Community House operates a range of services to meet the needs of the local community and supports children and young people, families and adults. The activities we provide are our after school sessions, and children's holiday sessions. We have our Helping Hangs group which runs weekly for adults with additional support needs and our Family Focus outreach service , a three tier service supporting families within different aspects of their life. Baby Steps, Building Bonds and Strong Roots are the three outreach support services and these provide support to expectant mothers through to children and families throughout their childhood. We work in partnership with other third sector organisations, increase presence in this local area by providing space for partner organisations to support local people and offer training opportunities. We also have an essential items bank for local families to access items.
