02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

To promote the benefits of Crocketford and surrounding area. To provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisuretime occupations. Regular coffee mornings, quizzes, race nights, get togethers, concerts, hosts local post office etc. Hall used for meetings and events by various groups and organisations.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation’s purposes are to promote the benefits of Crocketford and its environs, without distinction of sex, political, religious or other opinions, by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance the education and to provide facilities, or to assist in the provision of facilities, in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation so that their conditions of life can be improved. To provide, or assist in providing, recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community.
