Constitutional objectives
3 The objects for which the Trust is established are: 3.1 To advance, promote and support the education and interest of the public in canal, coastal, inland, seagoing and oceangoing craft of Scotland and other maritime craft and in equipment and relics relating thereto by the provision of a museum or museums in Scotland or Scottish waters, including Scottish Maritime Museum Trust, and to promote the permanent preservation of said craft and related items. 3.2 To exhibit to the public any such craft and items as aforesaid by means of temporary or permanent exhibitions and to demonstrate and assist in demonstrating to the public the design construction working and operation of any such craft and items by means of static or mobile displays and by carrying the public on such craft or otherwise. 3.3 To provide study, library and rental facilities and reprographic, audio reproduction and information services to any interested members of the public and generally to provide consultancy and administrative services all in connection with the furtherance of the foregoing objects.
