02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Pentland Singers was set up to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public choral concerts and thereby provide for the enjoyment of amateur music making in the community, and to share that enjoyment with others. It is also part of our objectives to bring group singing and musical education to young people within our community through our junior choir the Pentland Junior Singers https://www.pentlandjuniors.org/

To act for such other purposes as are charitable in law as the committee may from time to time decide, including, but not limited to, making charitable donations to recognised or registered charities.
