02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Trust has overall responsibility for the preservation of the Steamship, which includes the maintenance of facilities required to service and operate the vessel. A subsidiary Limited company operates the vessel and other ships to generate a surplus which is made available to the Trust to fund activities.
