What the charity exists to do

The company’s principal activity is the promotion of community development, health and environmental improvement initiatives in Auchinleck. The directors see their role as encouraging the regeneration of Auchinleck, through a range of activities including community gardening and youth engagement projects.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 To advance community development of the area of benefit by maintaining, improving and regenerating its physical, economic, social and cultural infrastructure, and assisting people who are at a disadvantage because of their social and economic circumstances. 4.2 To advance protection or improvement of the Community through the preservation and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community, the provision of other environmental and regeneration projects and/or the preservation and conservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the Community. 4.3 to advance education and in particular to promote opportunities for learning for the benefit of the general public so that they can play a leading, proactive role in the sustainable development of the Community and which will assist the participants in obtaining paid employment. 4.4 To provide in the interests of social welfare facilities for recreation and other leisure time activity to the residents of the area of benefit with a view to improving their conditions of life.
