02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are a pipe band - we exist to participate in pipe band competitions and provide training and development courses throughout the year as we strive to produce excellence. Our members range from 12 years old to 64 years old, and we all work together as a team to produce the best performances we can.

Constitutional objectives
OBJECTS The key purpose of the band is the regeneration of piping and drumming in East Ayrshire. The objects of the band are: 1) To promote and develop the art of piping and drumming within the context of pipe band culture, 2) To provide coaching in piping and drumming and to perform as a pipe band, 3) To strive to achieve musical and performance excellence and participate in competition at the highest possible level, 4) To develop partnerships with youth development programmes that encourage and sustain the musical heritage of piping and drumming. 5) To create and maintain a bond of fellowship with pipers and drummers everywhere.
