02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The charity provides a range of services primarily to help parents and children going through the rigours of parental separation and/or divorce. It provides three main services in this context, namely, Child Contact Centres (for non-resident parents to be able to spend time with their children either on a Supervised basis, a Supported basis or a Handover basis at/from our Child Contact Centre in Hamilton), Child Focused Mediation and Parenting Apart group sessions. Contact Centre services are provided in person or online. Mediation is provided on an online basis either face to face or by Shuttle mediation. Parenting Apart is provided online and includes a number of different parents although both parents from separation would not be at the same session. All of these services are also available for grandparents and other family members if appropriate and can include stepfamily and intergenerational mediation.
