02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Aberdeen Concert Band provides facilities for amateur musicians to develop their skills in music. It provides an oportunity to play with other musicians in ensembles on a weekly basis. The band also provides support in developing the ability to play a musical instrument by providing a music instructor to help with lessons at a subsidised rate for non members and free for band members. We support local charities by playing in venues across the area both as a full band or as small group in smaller venues such as care homes or sheltered housing complexes.
