02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Twechar Youth Group was set up to bring benefit to the young people of Twechar. The Youth Group and their members design, develop and participate in a variety of recreational and learning activities. The group partner with other local organisations to deliver these and young people play an important role in leading the group. Following Covid the group remained dormant for several years, including during this accounting period. However in the current year the group has restarted and this will be reflected in next year's Trustees Report.

Constitutional objectives
To promote the benefit of young people in the Twechar area by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organizations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide or promote the provision of facilities, in the interests of social welfare, for their recreation and other leisure-time occupation thereby improving the conditions of life of the aforementioned young people and developing their physical, mental and spiritual capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society.
