02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Stella Moffat Charitable Trust was created in 2005 by the Community Councillors for North Berwick to administer the bequest which Miss Stella Moffat left for the benefit of the townspeople of North Berwick, when she died in 2001. The Trustees hold the Trust Fund and the income from it to make grants at their sole discretion in line with the charitable purposes for the benefit of the community of North Berwick.
