02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Leadburn wood is an area of former conifer plantation which was clear felled in 2001-2002. Friends of Leadburn Community Woodland was set up to help create a pleasant and varied location for community use, by planting more than 10000 native trees, restoring two raised bogs, establishing large ponds and developing and maintaining a path network.
