Constitutional objectives
The organisation’s purposes are: •To advance education by – Junior Rangers programme for young people aged 8 to 14 years, species identification sessions for local school pupils, volunteer training courses, informational interpretation signage, wildlife recording workshops. •To provide recreational activities by – guided walks, bird watching groups, photography groups, community events and Fun Days, outdoor exercise equipment, den building for children. •To advance environmental protection or improvement by – planting and maintaining wildflower meadow, protecting wildlife habitats, tree planting, forest management plan, litter picks, clearance of invasive species, paths maintenance. •The advancement of citizenship or community development by – supported volunteering programme, fundraising working group, training for Board members, taking part in community surveys.
