02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
1st Kinross (St Serfs) Scout Group provides Scouting opportunities for children and young people in Kinross and the surrounding area. Our purpose is to support young people’s development by helping them build skills for life, confidence, resilience, teamwork and a sense of responsibility within their community. We achieve this by providing regular, structured Scout activities through our different age sections. These include games, practical skills, outdoor activities, camping, expeditions, community projects and other educational and recreational activities. The Group is supported primarily by adult volunteers who plan and deliver activities in line with the policies, values and safeguarding requirements of The Scout Association.
